The Governor of Oregon tasked us with communicating Oregon’s stay at home order during the pandemic. "We are facing an unprecedented crisis. None of us have been through anything like this before. The single most important thing each of us can do to protect our community and frontline workers and to save lives right now is stay home."—Kate Brown

This campaign provides clarity and conviction around what staying at home means — and how we all have a role to play to help our community.

A mask should not be a sign of weakness. Or a political statement, or another way to divide us. A mask is a protective device, a barrier to protect you and those around you from a virus. A mask is just a mask—and masks save lives. We photographed rural Oregonians proudly wearing masks to break down the stigma.

To encourage Oregonians to wear masks over the holidays we created a range of Ugly Holiday Masks, inspired by Ugly Holiday Sweaters. They were worn by everyone from the Blazers to Govenor Kate Brown.

And as pandemic fatigue sent in, we were asked to remind Oregonians to be safe during Covid. Telling people, especially Oregonians, what to do just doesn’t work. So we thanked them instead.
